What gets you up and inspired every day to come to work at United Way?

That what I’m doing each day could affect change in my community.   After 15 years of volunteering for a number of non-profits, including United Way in many of the communities that I’ve lived, this position truly is the culmination of my life’s passion.

How would you describe your role at United Way?

1 part leader. 1 part doer. ALL parts community cheerleader! The resources and talent required to improve the overall success of our community are abundant, I am simply here to encourage and activate them!

What does it mean to LIVE UNITED for you?

It’s a way of living.  Living and doing--not just for you, but for your community.  When we all live for our community, we have the greatest potential for success!

Three things you should know about me…

  1. I love to Wig OUT!  I jump on any opportunity to put on a costume and/or wig.
  2. I will try just about anything once…fencing… carb-free bread…
  3. I will volunteer for ANYTHING!!

When not working you might find me…

In a tent somewhere in my Wyoming backyard, exploring a new part of the world or relaxing at home with my adorable, yet, poorly trained Shih Tzu, Schnook.

What is your personal motto?

“Anything for a good story”.  LOL!  You’d be surprised what you can experience simply by saying YES more than NO…worst case scenario you’ll get a good story out of it!

What gets you up and inspired every day to come to work at United Way?

Knowing that we are striving to make a difference in our community by helping others, working with great people and enjoying what I do!

How would you describe your role at United Way?

Helpful and historical, it is important to know your donor base and provide accurate financial information.  Being a team player and learning all aspects of United Way.

What does it mean to LIVE UNITED for you?

Collaboration on making an impact in our community!

What is your dream for Natrona County?

For the community to strive and become more diversified, so that everyone has a chance at being successful.  I want to see a community that works together to make Natrona County a great place to live for everyone.

Three things you should know about me…

  1. I wear my heart on my sleeve.
  2. I am a proud mom of two verging Evil Knievel wanna-be’s with bedrooms full of motocross trophies.
  3. I love Mexican food.

What is your personal motto?

“Honesty is the best policy.”  It takes more effort to hide or lie about something, than it does to be honest and tell the truth.
