Duties

To follow, at all times, The Arc of Natrona County's policies and procedures
To follow, at all times, individual's Plans of Care, including, but not limited to: level of supervision, medication assistance, rights and restrictions, behavior protocols, PRN protocols, and seizure protocols
To complete all necessary documentation at the time of service, including but not limited to: Waiver billing (including data on formal and informal goals if required by the service), provider time sheets, monthly drill reports, mileage reimbursement, Medication Assistant Records, Incident Reports, and Seizure Reports
Ensure the safety and well-being of the individual(s) served in their care, including, but not limited to, preparing and serving meals and snacks, grooming and bathing, medication assistance, observing environment rules and making sure the individual does the same
Planning and carrying out activities that will be fun and may be educational for the individual and/or activities that provide opportunities for informal and formal training objectives to be completed
Pre-service visits with the families when necessary. Completing all person served specific training before working with the individual. This also includes asking any and all questions pertaining to the care of the individual before the time of service arises
Treat all individuals with dignity and respect, to cooperate and communicate with parents and staff and to respect the confidentiality of the individual served, their families, and the agency
Promote independence and freedom of choice with the individual served
Fulfill all training requirements and all yearly continuing education requirements. To become familiar with, and follow all rules and regulations of The Arc of Natrona County
Update the Service Coordinator of all changes in work availability, phone numbers and addresses
Bring the Service Coordinator and/or Executive Director items to keep your file up to date, i.e. First Aid/CPR, driver's license, car insurance, etc.

Represent the agency in a professional manner at all times

Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Fresh Start Café workforce training program while supporting individuals in early recovery as they develop the skills necessary to obtain and maintain employment. The position combines program coordination, participant coaching, workforce-readiness training, and café operations management to provide meaningful work experience and skill-development opportunities. The Program Coordinator helps create a supportive learning environment where participants gain practical job skills, workplace confidence, financial literacy, and employment readiness.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Oversee Fresh Start Café daily operations, including food cost and revenue.
Recruit, support and supervise staff members working in the Fresh Start Café workforce development program.

Develop and maintain individualized participant goals and training plans providing instruction and coaching in workplace readiness skills.

This position works closely with schools around the state of Wyoming. Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools® (UCS) is a strategy for schools Pre-K through College that intentionally promotes meaningful social inclusion. UCS brings together students with and without intellectual disabilities through sports, leadership, and whole school engagement opportunities to create accepting school environments.

Responsibilities and Duties

Unified Champion Schools Duties
Serve as the Special Olympics Wyoming (SOWY) liaison for school programs, providing consistent communication
along with establishing and strengthening relationships with school contacts.

Manage the grant that supports UCS and this position, including grant writing, budgeting, and monthly reporting.
Support schools in implementation of UCS programming by providing information, equipment, and other resources.
Travel to schools and communities throughout Wyoming to network, recruit, and educate.
Implement all 3 components of the UCS concept in an increasing number of schools in Wyoming: unified sports, inclusive youth leadership, whole school engagement.
Collect and maintain data from individual schools, including participant numbers and event information.
Conduct meetings with UCS liaisons at schools and develop communication materials, including a monthly
newsletter, to ensure clear and open communication with all schools.
Coordinate and support SOWY Youth Activation Committee (YAC) and statewide Inclusive Youth Leadership opportunities.
Work with the Special Olympics North America team to ensure national goals are being met.
Work with pre-schools to implement Young Athletes (YA) programs
Collaborate with Wyoming High School Activities Association for Unified opportunities.

Program Duties

Responsible for the planning and implementation of the annual Leadership Conference and Youth Summit.
